Mythbusters is just one of the shows I watch on Discovery Channel. The hosts of the show are Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman they are special effects experts and they use elements of the scientific method to test the validity of rumors, myths, movie scenes, adages, internet videos and news stories. They have currently have 8 seasons that date back to 2003. They approach a myth by getting a scale model then after the scale model works(if it works) they got do it in real size. By the end of an episode the myth is classified as Busted, Plausible, and Confirmed. Busted means that the myth's results cannot be replicated via either the described parameters nor reasonably exaggerated ones. Plausible means that the myth's results can only be replicated by expanding some parameters of the myth by a realistic and reasonable margin. Confirmed means that the Mythbusters are able to recreate or closely recreate the Myth's outcome with the described circumstances. There is also a second mythbusters team with Grant Imahara, Kari Byron, and Tori Belleci. They perform small myths that happen in the show and then there is the crash dummy Buster. He is always the one to be tested on like being shot at or being in the house while it's getting blown up.
Mythbusters is also one of my favourite shows, its actually one of the few I watch at all. I think the myths they tested used to be better before, but it must be because the show has been running for a long time now, so they must be running out of good myths to test.
ReplyDeleteFew other things:
"they got ** do it in real size"
First of all, the phrase "got to do / gotta do" is colloquial -> meaning it should only be used in speech, NOT in writing.
Second, you forgot to add the word "to" in between...
"the crash dummy Buster" is a crash TEST dummy.
Last but not least, it seems that you quoted some parts of this from the wikipedia. If you do so, you should clearly mark the quotations with "" and then include the source afterwards!!
