Karting

Karting is one of the hobbies I do. Now im going to explain what it is. It has 4 wheels and most of the time they use slicks and for rain they have rain tyres. Some go-karts reach speed of up to 260km/h but those go-karts are called Superkarts. The rules of karting are just like in Fomula 1 but there is no safety car in karting. There are different kinds of flags Chequered flag means that the race or sessoin has ended and drivers must return to the pits. Blue flag means that there is a faster driver behind you and you should let him pass. Yellow flag means that there has been an incident and drivers should slow down. Black flag means that the driver has been disqualified and should return to the pits. And the Red flag means that the race or session has stopped and drivers should return to the pits. There are different kinds of go-karts one of them is a KF1 class go-kart with a 125cc 2-stroke engine with a combined weight with the driver of about 250kg and a top-speed of about 137km/h. It takes a little over 3 second to accelerate from 0-60. My favorite place to go Karting is in Cottonring it has a fastest lap of over 30.76s. My fastest time there is 32.11s and Lauri's is 31.27s this month. Well i guess that's all there is to Karting and anyone can start Karting they just have to remember to wear a full-face helmet.

Mythbusters

Mythbusters is just one of the shows I watch on Discovery Channel. The hosts of the show are Adam Savage and Jamie Hyneman they are special effects experts and they use elements of the scientific method to test the validity of rumors, myths, movie scenes, adages, internet videos and news stories. They have currently have 8 seasons that date back to 2003. They approach a myth by getting a scale model then after the scale model works(if it works) they got do it in real size. By the end of an episode the myth is classified as Busted, Plausible, and Confirmed. Busted means that the myth's results cannot be replicated via either the described parameters nor reasonably exaggerated ones. Plausible means that the myth's results can only be replicated by expanding some parameters of the myth by a realistic and reasonable margin. Confirmed means that the Mythbusters are able to recreate or closely recreate the Myth's outcome with the described circumstances. There is also a second mythbusters team with Grant Imahara, Kari Byron, and Tori Belleci. They perform small myths that happen in the show and then there is the crash dummy Buster. He is always the one to be tested on like being shot at or being in the house while it's getting blown up.

Finland - Belarus Winter Olympic Hockey Game

Yesterday night the opening round of the Men's preliminary ice-hockey round began with Finland playing against Belarus in the first match of Group C.

In the first period Belarus has the first penalty by Aleksandr Makritski for hooking. Shortly after the penalty Finland's Olli Jokinen scored a goal assisted by Saku Koivu and Teemu Selanne. Later in the game Belarus's Aleksandr Ryadinski got a penalty for hooking which gave Finland another Power-Play which resulted in a goal by Niklas Hagman assisted by Mikko Koivu and Joni Pitkanen. The game is now 2-o to Finland after the first period ended.

In the second period Belarus quickly shows that they haven't given up by scoring a goal closing the gap to 1 goal. The goal was scored by Sergei Kostitsyn and was assisted by Sergei Demagin. Finland's Lasse Kukkonen got a penalty for holding and after that Belarus got a penalty because there were too many players on the ice. Sami Salo got a penalty at 14:01 game time and gives Belarus a power-play but they can't make use of it because Finland keeps putting pressure on the attackers. Towards the end of the second period Niklas Hagman scores a goal assisted by Mikko Koivu which puts Finland in a 2 goal lead again. Current score is 3-1 to Finland.

In the final period(3rd period) Finland shows it's potential by immediately scoring a goal after the puck was dropped. The goal was scored by Valtteri Filppula assisted by Mikko Koivu which puts Finland in a 3 goal lead. After that Belarus plays hard but they played too hard that they got 3 penalties in a row. In the final stages of the game Finland's Jarkko Ruutu scores the final goal of the game and he is assisted by Lasse Kukkonen and Niko Kapanen. Finland played a brilliant first game. The final score is 5-1 to Finland.
